*Collective Gasps of Awe!* Rihanna bares all, and yet it’s sophisticated! The dress and the singer are a work of art, an homage to Josephine Baker, a shimmery vision in a sea of “Play it Safe.” Eat your heart out, Daisy Buchanon! Everyone else can go home!

Okay, let’s be real.  There is no way you can reach this level of gossamer perfection without a staff of crystal-wielding seamstresses. However, you CAN mimic Rihanna’s luminous skin with the help of a brightening elixir, highlighter, and shimmer powder. Oh, and costume jewelry… shiny things! Think ‘20’s flapper but with internet access.

According to her stylist, this look was the second option for the awards show. (Can you imagine this being your backup dress? Insane!) In the end, Rihanna kept it chic and minimal, turning heads in slinky, black couture. She maintained the understated look by accessorizing with simple, gold jewelry and a matching clutch. The elegant lines and perfect draping ensure her physique is the real attention grabber.

As always, Rihanna’s skin is even, moisturized and radiant. To achieve a glowing complexion, make sure your skincare regimen contains powerful antioxidants and lots of exfoliation. Products that utilize lactic acid (an organic Alpha Hydroxy-Acid compound derived from milk sugars) will hydrate and rejuvenate skin naturally causing cells to turn over at a faster rate. And bonus! Our favorite sour-milk acid also promotes collagen growth in deep layers of the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Rihanna stunned in a sheer, red gown that managed to be both romantic AND innovative, bold AND ethereal. Style chameleon? Sultry Starlet? Absolutely.

Ladies, this is why red lipstick was invented. Be sure to find a shade that compliments your skin tone and carry it in your clutch for touch ups. Rihanna picked a universally-flattering cherry that matches the dress and the carpet.  Paired with matte, hydrated skin and loose, romantic curls, her styling shouts, “I’m ready for my close up.” Don’t forget to flash a megawatt smile!

Rihanna made a splash at this year’s Fashion Week with a parade of unique looks. (How can we pick just one?) But a definite favorite was this olive, military-inspired Olivier Rousteing number. With her structured bob, wrap skirt, oversized jacket, and gold-knuckled rings, the superstar truly achieved femme-fatale status.

This ensemble is a study of opposites and unexpected touches. The bold, lavender lip keeps the styling modern, while the sleek hair and cat eye evokes Old Hollywood.  Focus on either lips or eyes for a fresh interpretation. Think “couture” not “costume.” Reader Beware: Recreating Look May Result in Broken Hearts and Phone Numbers. Screen shot 2014-06-06 at 1.28.08 PM.png

Is there a silhouette this lady CAN’T pull off? Rihanna reached Advanced Goddess Level in this striking Stella McCartney number. She personalized the look with edgy jewelry, an artfully disheveled updo, and confidence to spare. Someone chisel this into marble, please!

Bedroom eyes, a pale lip, and luminous skin create an effortlessly feminine affair. Start with a solid base by thoroughly cleansing with a product that contains natural brighteners and moisturizing properties (think honey, almond oil, and jojoba seed oil). Follow with a tinted moisturizer, concealer, and powder. Finally, smudge kohl liner around your waterline and blend blend blend! The smudgier, the better! If you’re feeling extra adventurous, add a couple coats of black mascara, earthy eyeshadow and a soft pink lip. Voilà! Gorgeous! Now you’re ready to write an album and walk the red carpet… or at the very least, turn heads running errands!                 What’s your favorite Rihanna look? Sound off in the comments!
